There is currently an exhibition of the Shahnama at the Museum of Islamic Art in Berlin

The Shahnama Project is hosting a conference dedicated to Firdausi's masterpiece, with 20 speakers from across the world addressing different aspects of the poem: as literature, as history, and in the arts of the book, with particular attention paid to its reception both in Iran and across the wider Persian cultural zone (North India, Central Asia and the Caucasus). The conference will be held at the Gillespie Centre in Clare College, Cambridge.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MONDAY 6 DECEMBER. AFTER THAT DATE IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO BOOK ANY FURTHER ACCOMMODATION OR MEALS; LATE COMERS WILL BE CHARGED A REDUCED DAILY RATE FOR ATTENDANCE AND WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THEIR OTHER ARRANGEMENTS.
