After his second combat with Afrasiyab, a messenger came that evening with news from Gustaham of further successes against the Turanian forces, and telling of Rustam's exploits in battle. Kay Khusrau sends a message back to Rustam, telling him to prepare to pursue the fleeing Afrasiyab to his fortress at Gang Bihist.
