Zal shoots fowl
Public Notes
Zal shoots a fowl and it falls on the opposite bank. He sends a slave boy across the river, ostensibly to retrieve the wounded bird. The slave boy strikes up a conversation with Rudaba's slave girls. Eventually Zal crosses the river himself and consults with the slave girls, who promise to plead on his behalf with their mistress.
