His forces defeated by the Iranian army, Farud retreats to the gate of his castle, where he is ambushed by Bizhan and Ruhham. He is about to strike Bizhan, when he receives a crippling blow from behind by Ruhham, upon which he is forced to retreat into the castle, at death's door. Bizhan struck at the hooves of Farud's horse.

This scene is often amalgamated with that of Bizhan on foot, chasing Farud back to the castle and wounding his horse (on their first encounter). It is easily the most 'popular' (commonly illustrated) scene in the episode.
