After leaving court, Bizhan and Gurgin head for the borders to fight the wild boars. When they arrive, Bizhan tells Gurgin what to do, but he replies that he did not undertake to fight the boar, only to lead Bizhan to the place. Bizhan then enters the thicket and attacks the boars on his own. They were so fierce that flames sprang from their teeth. One huge boar like the devil attacked, but Bizhan plunged his sword (or dagger) into the beast and cut it in two. The other boars gave up the fight and Bizhan cut off their heads, and loaded them onto his saddle, to show off their tusks to the Shah and the heroes back at court.
