Bahram Chubina rushes to attack the retreating Khusrau Parviz, who calls his general Gustaham to bring him his bow and arrows, and felled Bahram's horse. On Bahram's withdrawal, Khusrau crossed the river at Nahravan and destroyed the bridge behind him.
