Public Notes
This drawing (p. 150, 152, cat. no. 182) was probably part of an Album and not an illustrated Shahnama manuscript. Rachel Milstein argues that the miniature combines elements of both Persian and Mughal painting, and as such, reflects the style of painting in the court of Jahangir.
