Seven illustrated folios from a dispersed Shahnama (pp. 84-86, cat. no. 56-62).
Rachel Milstein suggests that this dispersed manuscript is one of a large number of similar Shahnamas by the same artists. They may have been intended to be given as presents by Shah 'Abbas I to notable figures of the court. Some miniatures can be attributed to Mu'in Musavvir (583.69, 633.69- in collaboration with a lesser artist).
Milstein notes the similarities between these leaves and a Shahnama at the India Office Library (Ms. 1256), in which B. W. Robinson also found the hand of Mu'in Musavvir.
