Public Notes
Formerly Ethé 870. Introduced by the Baysunghuri preface, but with a large lacuna after f. 2, and concluding with the list of kings in verse. The text starts on f. 5v. The ms. is described in B.W. Robinson, Persian paintings in the India Office Library, London, 1976, pp. 226-31, with three b/w illustrations (ff. 47v, 76r, 398v). The ms. includes the epic, Garshaspnama, and the interpolated story of the demon Shabrang.

Book II starts with the accession of Gushtasp (f. 314v) and Book III with the interpolated Faramarznama (f. 368v). Each book starts with an illuminated 'unvan.

See also H. Ethé, Persian manuscripts in the India Office, vol. I, London, 1903, p. 551 (no. 870).
