Another loose page from the celebrated Shahnama made for Shah Isma'il Safavi (reg. 1576-7).

After being exhibited intact in Paris in 1912, the manuscript was broken up for sale and dispersed by the dealer Demotte.

Along with 3 other sheets, this folio has recently been acquired by |Sam Fogg's, London.
