The text is in four sections, each marked by a large 'unvan, and clearly not completed in chronological order:
Section one ends on f. 169r, with a colophon dated 1237 AH. Folios 169v and 170r are blank.
Section two starts on f. 170v with the story of Bizhan and Manizha, and ends on f. 282r, with a colophon dated 11 Ramadan 1235 ( ). Folios 282v and 283r are blank.
Section three starts on f. 283v and ends on f. 417v, with a colophon dated "the time of Friday prayer at the beginning of Muharram 1235" ( ).
Section four starts facing f. 418r (?), with the reign of Aushirvan, although the rubrics repeat the rubrics from the story of Bizhan and Manizha, followed by the Davazdah Rukh, i.e. due to scribal error.
