Public Notes
This ms. was originally meant to be illustrated; according to the colophon, it was copied in 1086/1675, but the intended pictures were evidently not carried out. It seems that the empty spaces were never filled until the late 18th or early 19th century, when the current illustrations were added. The illuminations of two section headers (ff. 1r, 4v), however, must be contemporaneous with the production of the ms.

It is difficult to assign the school of painting: probably from Qajar Iran. There is no indication of the painter; however, European influence is visible throughout the paintings.

The ms. opens with a non-standard incipit: kasarandeh-ye kayan-ast va chareh-i andar manandegan-ast (f. 1- 4v).

For a detailed description of the ms. and its illustration, see Bagher Najafi, pp. 326-34.

Project Notes
Choose sample page from Najafi photos; add illumination images too.

Some of trhe paintings in this ms. do not match the text and need to be resolved.
