Visited briefly by CM in March 2013 during a conference. Considerable help was provided by Dr Khursheed in identifying copies of the Shahnama from the card indices. Altogether 44 volumes of Shahnama are noted, 14 of which are illustrated, some being separate volumes of the same copy. Only a very preliminary inspection of a handful of these was made.
The volumes are part of different collections: some from the University Persian manuscript collection, some from the 'Abd al-Salam collection, some from the Qutb al-Din Kulkashan collection, some from Sulaiman Kulkashan collection, etc.
The Library contains two unillustrated volumes of the Tarikh-i Dilgusha-yi Shamshirkhani, from the Habib Ganj collection, nos. 992 (dated 1196/1781) and 993 (dated 1129/1716).
