Public Notes
The collection of the Brooklyn Museum of Art includes over twenty illustrated folios of dispersed Shahnama manuscripts dated from the early 14th until the 17th century. From the 14th century are five folios from the so-called dispersed "Second Small Shahnama", and one illustration from the Injuid Shahnama commissioned by the vizier Qavvam al-Din. Shiraz style of both 15th and 16th century is apparent in several leaves. From 17th-century Isfahan there are two signed illustrations by Mu'in Musavvir. Among the folios, there are also a few Indian examples from the 16th century.

Visits to the collection were made in November 2008 by Bilha Moor, with kind cooperation and permission of Dr. Ladan Akbarnia. We would also like to thank Ms. Katie Apsie for her assistance during the visits.
