Of the large holdings of mss. in the Suleymaniye Yazma Eser Kutuphanesi (17 copies of the Shahnama), two are illustrated.
The Library is extremely accessible, and many manuscripts (including the two illustrated shahnamas) have been completely digitized and can be consulted in the Reading Room on line.
Ordering photographs is also quick and simple, but the number of illustrations that can be ordered is currently limited. We are grateful to the Director, Emir Es, for allowing the maximum to be granted in this case.
