The previous folio has the rubric "Farangis presents Kay Khusrau to Kay Kavus", i.e. welcoming him on his arrival from Turan. However, this has nothing tp do with the text at this stage, and the painting shows no sign of Farangis. The painting comes much closer to the text describing Giv leading Piran to Kay Khusrau, who then pardoned him on the intervention of Farangis (Mohl, II, pp. 542-4); however, the picture cannot be said to reflect accurately that scene either.
